Engineering Excellence for the F-35 Program
Varley Defence’s expertise in design, manufacturing, and integration has been instrumental in the development of mission-critical equipment for the F-35 Joint Strike Fighter. Our contributions include:
- F-35 Landing Gear Handling System (LGHS) – Enabling precise and efficient handling of landing gear components, including Engine Access Stands, Engine Bay Platforms, Fuel Tank Access Stands and Wheel and Tyre Trailers.
- Canopy Sling & Maintenance Sling – Essential for streamlined aircraft maintenance operations.
- Deployable Duty Mission System (DDMS) Cabins – Advanced modular shelters providing high-security operational environments.
Since 2021, Varley has been contracted by the Australian Department of Defence to provide in-field servicing support to bespoke aircraft maintenance Ground Support Equipment (GSE) supporting F-35 fleet maintenance and sustainment at RAAF Base Williamtown and RAAF Base Tindal.
