Queen’s Wharf Precinct Project
Varley Group’s ICT and digital transformations services subsidiary, The Frame Group, have recently delivered cutting edge ICT infrastructure at Brisbane’s landmark Queen’s Wharf Precinct.
Frame Group is proud to have played a pivotal role in the ICT infrastructure design and build for the newly opened Queens Wharf precinct in the heart of Brisbane.
On Thursday, 29 August, the precinct opened its doors to the public for the first time, unveiling The Star Brisbane, The Star Grand hotel, the Sky Deck with its breathtaking 100-meter high views, and the newly constructed Neville Bonner Bridge connecting to South Bank.
The $3.6-billion development is set to transform Brisbane’s skyline with a variety of attractions, from world-class dining and luxurious accommodations to unique leisure experiences like the Sky Deck and its spectacular vistas.
In a primary coordination role for the DBC Partners, Frame project-managed the ICN implementation alongside The Star Entertainment Group, ICT integrators (Data #3), and numerous building subcontractors spanning electrical, data, lighting, CCTV, and BMS systems. To date, the team has successfully installed over 700 edge switches, connecting more than 10,000 clients—and they aren’t done yet!
Throughout the project, FRAME navigated and overcame significant challenges, including the Brisbane floods and COVID-19 lockdowns.
“Frame started working with Destination Brisbane Consortium back in 2020. It’s been a privilege to be part of the development of this world class precinct that will change Brisbane’s CBD.”
Andrew Patterson, CEO of the Frame Group.
Queen’s Wharf not only enhances public access to the riverfront with extensive walkways and a vibrant plaza beneath the footbridge but also represents a major vision for Brisbane’s future. When completed it will have over 1,000 hotel rooms across four hotels, an expansive event centre, and ongoing developments in dining and leisure, the precinct promises to be a dynamic hub for locals and visitors alike.
From fine dining at iconic venues like Luke Nguyen’s Fat Noodle to enjoying panoramic views from Cicada Blu on the Sky Deck, Queen’s Wharf is poised to become a landmark destination. Frame is excited to continue their journey with this transformative project, enhancing Brisbane’s vibrant cityscape.
