Unimog

The Unimog platform offers unparalleled capability to navigate and overcome Australia’s most challenging terrain, thanks to its substantial ground clearance, portal axles, and impressive body articulation. It stands as the optimal solution for flood recovery and rescue operations, including boat launching, and is equally well-suited for fire suppression and logistical transport missions.

  • The unimogs have the ability to carry a lot of weight over some of the most rugged country Australia can offer
  • The wading depth through flood waters is up to 1.2 metres
  • Extreme articulation of the tray and chassis allows the suspension approximately 30 degrees compression and expansion angle

  • The M100-8 gearbox features an optional low-range mode that enables a total of sixteen forward gears and 14 reverse gears ensuring a correct gear for every scenario

Light Rescue Vehicle

Used as the initial rescue deployment for small to medium incidents, these utilities carry an abundance of rescue equipment specific to the site’s needs with speed and agility.

Any communications radios can be fitted as required to ensure feedback, information and data is returned to base for assessment and allocation or required resources.

Medium Rescue Vehicle

Rescue Body based on a Medium cab chassis, typically 10 to 11,000kg. Can be Single or Crew Cab, 4 X 2 or 4 X 4. Designed to carry a wide range of rescue equipment, from MVA to Swift water Rescues, floods, high wind events and search and rescue.

  • Generous storage space with ergonomic design using slide out storage trays for heavy equipment access.
  • On board generator provides lighting for night work and charging for battery tools.
  • Flexible storage can be configured for a variety of uses.
  • Flexible stowage can target specific applications, such as hydraulic tools for MVAs or inflatable rafts for water rescues.
  • Point of use delivery of rescue equipment or search & rescue operations
  • Crew cab versions allow crew to be transported to site with the equipment.
  • Medium duty cab chassis in 4 x 4 or 4 X 2 configurations
  • Large roller shutters allow quick, easy access to equipment.

Heavy Rescue Vehicle

Rescue Body based on a Heavy cab chassis, typically 13 to 15,000kg. Can be Single or Crew Cab, 4 X 2 or 4 X 4. Designed to carry a wide range of rescue equipment, from MVA to Swift water Rescues, floods, high wind events and search and rescue.

Rescue Trailer

Designed to be deployed in storm & flood rescue emergencies. Carries a range of rescue equipment to deal with fallen trees, water ingress to buildings, wind & water building damage.

BA Operations Support Unit

The Operations Support Unit, as the name suggests, provides Queensland Fire and Emergency Services with a quick, multi-task vehicle to support their operations. It has a Breathing Apparatus compressor, an internal office and a large cargo stowage space.

  • Provides 8 cylinder BA refill/charging station.
  • Provides an internal cargo tracking with 8 pallet stowage area.
  • Provides emergency lighting, scene lighting and pneumatic extendable light mast.
  • Used as a charging/refill station for Breathing Apparatus increasing firefighting capacity
  • Used as a mobile office to support ongoing operation of QFES
  • Able to be used for QFES firefighting cargo stowage
  • Power source from 18kVA generator, mains or 225AH house batteries.
  • Custom 7m awnings.
  • Based on a Scania P360 6×4

Incident/Mobile Command Vehicle

These vehicles allow a fully functioning Command Centre to be established on the site of a major incident. Such incidents could include a major fire or natural disaster.

  • Provides a full emergency communication suite including person to person, vehicles & aerial assets.
  • Provides a secure, familiar and comfortable environment for the incident responders and controllers. Surrounding areas are monitored via remote daylight & IR cameras.
  • Provides real time updates to the community via large format screens, mobile weather stations and messaging.
  • Control centre for major incidents & disasters.
  • Mobile, so ability to move rapidly to remote areas & rapidly deploy its systems.
  • Able to seamlessly mirror fixed ground based assets in the event these assets are damaged.
