F-35 JSF Landing Gear Handling System (LGHS)
The LGHS facilitates the installation and removal of the F-35 JSF aircraft’s landing gear, and is capable of precise adjustment in all 3 axes (X, Y and Z), translation and rotation.
The LGHS consists of a jack assembly and a set of 6 adaptors that hold the landing gear. The adaptors are tailored to suit the nose and main landing gear of all 3 aircraft variants, conventional take-off and landing (COTL), short take-off and vertical landing (STOVL) and carrier variant (CV).
